We are barefoot on the pavement treading lightly towards the sand You are in mismatched pajamas Your fingers fit inside my hand We are molecules and atoms underneath a world of stars Neither knowing where we're going or forgetting where we are "Mommy take me for a moon walk" and how could I ever deny a stroll with you, my heart tucked beneath this August sky She is in her waning crescent summer ending much too soon But all my life I'll hold these moments When we walked beneath the moon

Oh, this touched deeply. I have two daughters and those moments are so precious. And how wonderful to have this poem as a memory.
Lovely Poem Laura
